We very much enjoyed the Grottes de Clamouse. Montpellier is great for teenage fashion. Pezenas market is excellent. The best supermarket is Carrefour in Pezenas. Would highly recommend oysters at Meze. Loved the pool.

We’ve had a glorious week here in the cottage in Aumes.
We’ve loved: Pezenas, charming village full of friendly folk. Lodeve, a wonderful entrance across the river into the centre ville. Sete, lots of action around the port. Take a harbour cruise - most enjoyable! Fresh food from the region- oysters are like sipping the sea. The friendliness of the people.

To our hosts, thank you for allowing us to share your wonderful home. We have been absolutely delighted with the facilities, the attention to detail and your kindness. We have thoroughly our stay in Aumes. The highlight of our holiday was a trip to Andorra! Valras Plage is our favourite beach, with a bustling town- well worth a days visit. The fish market is incredible, as is the food in the local bars and restaurants.

End of a very quick week! The villa was lovely, so firstly a big thank you to John and Ann for putting together a “wonderful home from home” We had such big intentions to do action laps of the pool, runs round the village,tennis round the corner and cycling non-stop. Unfortunately the weather stopped us, that’s our excuse anyway!! ............we did squeeze in one run and two bike rides though. Other activities we can recommend are a day trip to Montpellier (take the tram and follow the maps) and Beziers adventure, lots of challenges at various heights. Enjoy your time here, we did.

We leave here refreshed from our vacation. Due to our lazy lifestyle we must be going home a few pounds heavier after all the BBQs and restaurants meals. Your beautiful home has been enjoyed very much, my favourite place being the outdoor eating area. We have also enjoyed lazy swims in the pool after sunbathing.

Lovely villa, good facilities and excellent pool, certainly for Molly. Beautiful area. Pezenas is a must on a Wednesday and Friday evenings when the shops stay open from 9 pm ‘till midnight. Make sure that you explore the side streets.
Very friendly town and lots to see and do! Beaches, markets, historic visits; a perfect base for it all. Villa was lovely with a pool that was put to good use.

Montagnac- easy shopping, Friday market, coffee and an aperitif. Meze- food market and restaurants. Les Mimosas at St. Guilard, a gastronomic treat. St. Guilhem le Desert- walk, church and lunch. Wine producers in the hills.

Dear Ann and John, We are two families from Frankfurt and we spent a week in the beautiful South of France. We enjoyed a really beautiful holiday with lots of sun, we even spent a day on the beach. Hiking at the Cirque du Moureze and St Guiham le Desert was at its best. Marsanne with its lovely and comfortable equipment and the pool which we used nearly every day gave us a feeling of a wonderful and unforgettable holiday.

Handy supermarket, go to Montagnac. Also for take-away pizza.
Nearest beach is Meze, Sunday market is a good day to go.
Larger beach at Sete.
Bouzigues is nice, try the oysters.
Carcassonne should not be missed.

In January I was searching the internet for a house in the South of France. Marsanne was the result of that search, a really could choice if I may say so! We enjoyed our stay in Aumes, the house is luxuriously equipped and the area is very nice. We visited the vineyards and bought oysters in Meze. The weather was hot so we used the pool a lot.
We hope to come back next year in June.

Really enjoyed our stay in Marsanne, Aumes and the surrounding area. Pezenas is a lovely little town and the port at Meze is very pretty. The historic centre of Pezenas is worth a look, very interesting old streets to stroll around.

After a slow start to the weather our second week has been glorious. Thank you Ann and John for your advice and help. Enjoyed all aspects of house, well planned out. We visited Pezenas market on Saturday.......look out for the man playing a saw! Carcassonne was just like a film set. Agde ild town and beach. Mont Saint Clair at Séte for stunning views. Bouzigues beach and Bassin de Thau activity. Canal du Midi for shade. Multiple locks at Beziers.............must stop now, sadly we have to go home now– we shall return.

We have been coming to France twice a year, every year for about 10 years and must thank John and Ann for one of the best presented properties we have stayed in. The area has lots to offer and so meets all tastes, and for the second year in a row we are leaving to go home without visiting all we intended to see. Both Montpellier and Nimes are within a day trip, and for just lazing on the beach Serignan Plage is difficult to beat. We will probably return to this area and try to cross the rest rest of our list off!
